A meridian, in Paul Celan’s memorable phrase, is “the connective which, like the poem, leads to encounters.” And 91st Meridian is a place of encounters for poets and fiction writers, playwrights and essayists, readers from around the world. Just as imaginary geographical circles link disparate parts of the earth, so this online meridian will bring together writers from every coordinate on the map.
