The day with both

Hussien Abdi Mohamed

It was the 2nd-Jan-1997 at the early rise of the sun when Dad ordered Mom to dress me well. I quickly recalled that Dad was going to take me to school. I was very happy because I remember that I had asked Dad so many times that he should take me to school. After an hour Dad and I reached the school gate and asked permission to into the school camp for the school watchman. We abruptly headed to headmaster’s office and I was registered as a standard one pupil. My father took me into a crowd of young boys and girls who were mostly of my age mates and I was enjoying it a little bit, but when Dad waved his hand to me and told me bye to you, I was really sad and very frightened to be left alone within a crowd of strangers.
