Оскорбленные чувства ['Feelings that offend'], the most recent novel of IWP alumna Alisa GANIEVA (IWP '12, '18), was launched in Moscow this summer. Alisa, who is among the 2018 jury members for the distinguished Neustadt Prize for International Literature, will be returning to Iowa this fall as a visiting writer at Grinnell College.
As part of the IWP's "100 Words Project," writers from around the world have been invited to meditate on a given theme. This year's theme is "Peace/War." Each writer has responded to the theme by composing an original text of around 100 words. In these videos, the writers read and present their compositions aloud. Jamaican poet Millicent Graham has contributed this video for the project. 100 Words is made possible through a grant from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State
