On March 30, 2016, the International Writing Program will offer its first MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) designed specifically for emerging writers 13-19 years of age. Express your creative side with the University of Iowa creative writing community! #Flashwrite: Poetry 2016 will be taught by Daniel Khalastchi, Associate Director of the University of Iowa's Frank N. Magid Center for Undergraduate Writing, and a team of enthusiastic and experienced teaching moderators. Admission to #Flashwrite is free. Students who wish to earn university credit must complete #Flashwrite and enroll in a secondary online credit course, which will offer creative writing instruction and workshops in a small online group setting.
