Jacob Oet of Cleveland, Ohio talks about his experience participating in Between the Lines (BTL), a creative writing and cultural exchange program for writers ages 16-19 offered through the University of Iowa's International Writing Program. Jacob, who participated in BTL Russia 2012, just completed his freshman year at Swarthmore College and recently stopped by the Shambaugh House in Iowa City, home of the International Writing Program. He is back in Iowa City to take part in a 3-week intensive poetry workshop with poet James Galvin.
