has written and/or directed four films, including Sangrador (2000), a drama loosely based on Shakespeare’s MacBeth, which was Venezuela’s 2003 nomination for an Academy Award for Foreign Language Film. His most recent directorial project, El Infierno Perfecto, will be released by Post Meridian Cinema in June 2008. Consalvi co-founded the Film School at the University of the Andes in Mérida, where he currently teaches screenwriting and directing, as well as the Annual Venezuela Film Festival.
