The Internatonal Translation Workshop partners IWP residents with writer-translators from the University of Iowa to create new works of poetry and fiction in English. The group meets in an informal environment for discussions of problems that arise from the projects at hand, and for shared presentations. After the IWP residents depart Iowa City, the remaining month is spent revising the translations, reading translation criticism, and debating issues in the practice of translation.
