won the Jo Peters Poëzie Prijs in 2006 for his debut collection of poems Inzinkingen [‘Relapses’], the year his second poetry book Donkere arena [‘Dark Arena’] was published, followed in 2009 by a collection of love poems titled Wij zijn de laatste geliefden in de wereld [‘We Are the Last Lovers in the World’]. He has also been a programmer for Rotterdam’s Poetry International Festival. His participation is made possible in part through the US Embassy in the Hague.
